Computer Science '20 - Google
Being a part of MECC during college gave me my first experiences working with clients on real problems. I learned how technology and engineering can be used to solve problems in everything from cloud services to retail and consumer product all the way to the nonprofit sector. Not only did I meet an amazing group of people and my future roommate in San Francisco here, MECC also emphasized and cultivated skills that not many engineers focus on such as making and presenting decks, creating deliverables, and doing product research, all of which have been invaluable to me working at Google post college!

Public Health ‘20 - Huron Healthcare Consulting
As a pre-health student, the industry perspectives, hard skills, and connections I gained through MECC were formative to my professional journey. MECC taught me how to manage fast-paced projects, create solutions for various business problems, and communicate effectively. MECC also introduced me to a community of intelligent and inspirational people, several of whom I still consider to be my mentors and close friends. Needless to say, MECC helped me launch my post-grad journey, and I’m excited to be on the path I’m on today in healthcare management.

IOE ‘20 - Pursuing IOE MS at UofM
When I joined MECC, I immediately was able to work on meaningful problems with high profile clients such as national football teams, big airlines, and rising rappers. Having these experiences opened doors to executive board positions, internships, and research opportunities. While MECC catapulted my professional development, it also provided me with a healthy network of genuine lifelong friendships spanning the nation.

IOE ‘20 - McKinsey & Company
I learned so much through MECC- analysis, communication, leadership and management, you name it. I served as a consultant for an NGO, worked with two major professional sports franchises, and oversaw projects in a host of other fields. More importantly, though, MECC also provided a great community and lifelong friends - the people were what truly made MECC amazing. I currently work as a consultant in Chicago, where I live with three other MECC alumni. Looking back, I can’t imagine my college experience without this club - stepping into that info session back in January of 2017 was the best decision I made at Michigan.

Mathematics ‘20 - RBC Capital Markets
MECC played a massive role in my personal and professional growth in college. As a college student, or even an analyst in industry, it’s rare to be in a position to manage people and direct a project. Being a project manager in MECC allowed me to gain this invaluable experience, from managing relationships on my team to meeting client expectations and producing deliverables. As such, it has given me material to draw on in interviews and insights to contribute more to my team as I start my career.
