MECC is at the center of my college experience, as I have been given so many chances to learn, grow and meet great people. I’ve been able to work on a wide variety of projects while in MECC, ranging from a local business where we developed marketing strategies to creating a new software tool for a tech company. MECC’s community and people are so supportive, welcoming, and have made my experience invaluable.

I am really grateful to be a member of MECC Consulting Group. As an LSA student, I especially appreciate the opportunity to develop and sharpen my technical consulting skills through our training series, from project managers and with consultants. Through my experience in MECC, I have gained a better understanding of what kind of work I would like to do after college. Beyond that, MECC is an incredible community to join if you want to laugh, grow and create lifelong friendships.

My experience in MECC has gone beyond providing me with opportunities on projects that spanned from helping a small business build a sustainable supply chain to increase the streams and followers of an up-and-coming rapper from Canada. MECC has allowed me to explore my career options and refine my skills that will help me in my future career in education and policy. Additionally, MECC has given me the opportunity to meet and work with some amazing people and develop relationships that will last.

My first semester in MECC exceeded all my expectations. Even during a virtual semester, I felt the whole club’s presence supporting one another personally and professionally, whether it be through team bonding events, professional workshops, or mentor check-ins. It was apparent from the get-go how determined and passionate everyone in MECC is to produce outstanding work while learning from and building each other up along the way.

MECC has been the bridge between classes and the real world for me. It has allowed me to take the concepts that I have learned in class and apply it in a real scenario with real clients, and even push those skills further. Outside of professionalism MECC has always felt like a family to me with so many people willing to help when I needed it especially during recruiting whether it was a late night case, or just to talk to help relieve some stress. MECC will always be a defining aspect of my college career.
